Engineers have known for years that adding hydrogen to fuel makes an engine run cleaner. The trick was figuring out how to produce hydrogen quickly and compactly on board[1] MIT's microplasmatron is a fuel converter used on a vehicle to transform gasoline or other hydrocarbons with an electrically conducting plasma to accelerate reactions that generate hydrogen rich gas to be used in the engine.[2] For example US Patent 1,630,048 states: "The light and therefore easily inflammable hydrocarbons are fired first by the ignition means provided on the engine and thise proveide the heat required for igniting the heavy hydrocarbons contained in the mixture". The spark plug triggers a spark then the fuel molecules explode in a chain reaction. After this reaction the heat is normally radiated away into the environment. A plasma fuel reactor may use this heat to fracture hydrogen, this essentially is free energy available in any non-continues combustion process.


GEET engine by Paul Pantone

Paul Pantone developed his endothermic plasma reactor dubbed the GEET "Global Environmental Energy Technology". The engine transfers exaust heat though a heat exchanger into a bubbler. Vapor from the bubbler is transfered back though the heat exchanger, a tube in the center of the exaust, in the center of this tube a welding rod is positioned, the fuel mixture moves around this rod in a vortex, with  the pressure fluctuations in the exhaust and combined heat the system produces a plasma reaction that dissociates hydrogen from oxygen.

The GEET in it self does not allow a car to run on water alone, tests have shown it's limit to be a ratio of 20% hydrocarbons and 80% water. The GEET resembles an important part of the water fuel technology. The reactor will work with all kind of liquids like ketchup, mustard, milk, pepsi, orange juice, ect!![3] Because the fuel is recycled, the engine runs cold and emission is reduced by 85% Simplified plans are available for free.[4][5]


The GEET also functions as a fuel vaporiser, in France thousands of engines have already been converted to adopt both sucessfull plasma reactors and fuel vaporisers, the difference is hard to spot.[6] [7]

In 1999 Leslie Bromberg, Alex Rabinovich and Daniel Cohn won the US Discover Award for Technological Innovation.[1] "The microplasmatron fuel converter (plasmatron) is a device that would be used on a vehicle to transform gasoline or other hydrocarbons into hydrogen rich gas. The plasmatron uses an electrically conducting gas (a plasma) to accelerate reactions which generate hydrogen rich gas. The hydrogen-gas, which is a high quality fuel, is then used as a fuel in the engine resulting in greatly reducing pollution. The small size and rapid response of the plasmatron make it suitable for use onboard vehicles. There is also a need to reduce air pollution from cars, trucks and buses. There is also a need to better use a greater variety of fuels, to reduce green house gas production and to conserve nonrenewable energy resources.
